Yay! Schools Out. It was a wonderful day. It even rained for us (always fabulous). Yes, I am one of “those” moms who can not wait the school year to end. I love my kids home. They really are my friends. I tried to have a “Schools Out Party” for the kids. I made their favorite dinner we had chicken tacos, and hot Mexican dip (I really need to post that recipe. It is to die for). We made cookies together and listened to the Beatles really loud. What more could they ask for. Apparently no one thought it was too great of a party. Chad called at about 8pm and told Griff that he was headed home from work. I heard Griff say, “FINALY, we have been waiting on you to start the party.” I had to break the news to him that the party already happened. He looked very confused. Then as Cozy was going to bed she said to me in a frantic voice, “mom, what about the party.”
“Oh sweetie, it already happened. Remember the flags, and the cookies, and the dancing to the Beatles?”
Then she said, “that’s ok, we can do something fun tomorrow.”
Hmmmmmm.
