Ideas for Valentines day decor

Valentines Day is tricky for me. There is a very small window (in my opinion) to decorate. Don’t get me wrong, when I finally do decide it is time- I love it. I always feel like after Christmas I need a breather from the clutter. I always seem to go through closets and cupboards and clean off all surfaces after Christmas. It feels great to have a clutter-free environment again. Wait, wait wait. Hearts. already? I have to have enough time from Christmas to be excited again about Valentines day, but I can’t wait too long or I’ll miss the window all together and only have a week or so to enjoy it. I wonder if anyone else feels this predicament? Well, I’m ready to feel the love. I was thinking today of adding to the decor this year and got on the net to get some ideas. Thought I’d share some.

The first is from Marta Stewart. I’m definitely going to do this with the kids. They’ll love it.

I have SO many buttons. This would be easy and fun! I found this on katesnestingthings.

Then there is this darling handmade “I’m assuming heart wreath”. (I only have a little portion of the image). It comes from Simply Handmade magazine.

Both of the next two are from one of my favorite blogs… Apartment Therapy.

Time for me to get the Valentines box out and “feel the love”. Maybe I’ll post some of my own decor.
