Now I am so thankful. I love it that my two youngest are 13 months apart. They are really close - best friends. My daughter takes really good care of him (as if she is much older). I love their little conversations and listening to her teach him things. Sometimes it is hard because she is SO independent and wants to do everything for HIM too. Because he is the baby of the family I worry that he will not get that self confidence that my other kids seem to have. In my own selfish way I want to keep him my baby, however I know that is not the best thing for him. I forget that he is four years old sometimes. It’s funny because when my oldest was 4 he was doing so many more things. Its natural perhaps that we expect so much from our first. I know I need to somehow get the kids to stop doing everything for him and let him get his own bumps and bruises along the way, like they did. I know this his how you raise independent and self confident children. I’m a believer in it. So, I stick him on a bike and send him down the road. . . He is happy! …. And big sister is there to pick him up when he falls.

I couldn’t believe I was pregnant when I had a 4 month old baby.
