I am thankful for love at home

Disclaimer. My son is not perfect. Ok, with that out of the way I must say that I think he is really cool.

I had a great big brother. He was really nice to me and not like a typical big brother. However, I don’t think he would have ever let me hang with his friends and him when they were together. My Son, who is 11, is so good to his sister, who is 9. They have always been very close. We moved a lot when they were little for schooling and I think it forced them to really be best friends. It has recently dawned on me that he always lets her hang out with him and his friends “CRAZY” I know. I do have to say that she is always the designated singer on Band Hero. She tries to ask once in a while to be on guitar and they all just shake their heads. That’s enough for her. I think she knows that she is lucky to just be in the room and to accept the roll of grunt. Its so sad. So she sings her little heart out (with a smile on her face) in fear that she will lose the game and disappoint the boys. Aren’t family dynamics and birth order so interesting… I think so. I think they have SO MUCH to do with how we turnout as adults.

Anyhow - today I’m thankful for love at home and when the children are happy like today.
