Are you kidding? 70 degrees and school is out.

Yes it is Mesa, AZ and my kids are playing outside the last week of May. I even put a light sweater on. This weather is straight from heaven. My windows are open, and my garden will last just that much longer before the scorching heat. I snapped a few pics of some of the things that make me happy in my yard right now.

My yellow mums, and my roses are still going strong - makes me so happy!

We got the greatest crop of peaches this year. We have been eating peaches non-stop for a week. yummy!
Unfortunately my strawberries aren’t producing much. I did have one when I went out this morning. That makes me happy too.
Oh, I also saw a baby humming bird the other day. I have never seen one. I didn’t get a great picture because the mother humming bird kept dive bombing me (protective little mama) I even got to see the mom feeding the baby. It was really a cute sight … here is a picture.

My tomato bushes look like crap, but the tomatoes are awesome. They are the tastiest ones we have ever had and are producing a ton. I’m loving them for salsa.

Yes I also managed to finally get ONE gardenia. Gardenias are my favorite. There is not a more beautiful smell in all the world if you ask me. In fact my wedding bouquet was packed solid with just gardenias. I have tried forever to get those darn plants to give me some flowers (I think it is my bad soil drainage where they are planted). And finally Yes folks…. drum roll please…. I have managed to grow Holly Hocks. My mom has tons of these in Snow Flake. I could never get these to grow here until this spring. Kind of fun for me.
