This Summer our kids formed some really great new friendships  with some of their cousins that they hadn’t met yet. They were up at the homestead with us for a couple of weeks and they really became close.  

I was sitting on the porch and I heard them say that they were holding auditions. I thought, oh how cultural of our kids, they are making a play. Then I hear Piper say, “do I suck all the blood out or just some?” Yes – you guessed it. They were auditioning for the play “Twilight”. No, my kids have not read it. But the seem to know the whole story. I was cracking up watching my 10 year old son play the part of Edward. That quickly came to a halt when he found out he had to Stroke Bella’s arm and say “Bella, Bella”. From the mouth of my son “I’m just not into that romantic stuff mom.” (YES!! Now if he could just stay that way for another 9 years).
